Woohoo! I finally figured out my password for my old character. Its not one I normally use. At least I can get back in and play on Wakela again. I also have the one I just created the other day. Her name is Sankara. So if anyone of you feel so inclined, feel free to message me in game.
Unfortunately, since I had been gone for several months, the agency I was in, Ona Mission, had to boot me out to make way for new people. Agencies can only have so many people in them depending on their level. I just sent a message to one of the officers. Or so I thought. I had noticed that Stooby had sent me a message. I answered him back finally. Well when I did a little snooping around, I found out that he and a few others from Ona are now in a new agency. He is one of the directors. I am not sure how or why this happened. Oh well!
I am sure that I will eventually join another agency.
Well, I have spent quite of bit of time in Kunark lately. EQ2 is interesting again. At least until I reach 80 and get bored again.
Krystae and I were running around in Kylong Plains today. We did a few quests there. Then we decided to get adventurous. We started running through some of the high end zones just to see what they looked like. We had to be really careful in some spots. We were able to invis through most of it, but there were some mobs that could see through invis.
Yesterday I didn’t play EQ2 at all. Instead, I was playing Vanguard. Krystae kept telling me how much it sucked. So even though I had gotten it, I just never got around to playing it. I think its a pretty decent game. Its not as bad as she says it is. I think that she is used to the class designations of EQ1 & EQ2 so she doesn’t like this game. The Warden in Vanguard is much different then what she is used to.
I am glad that I gave it a try. I can see myself playing it more often then she does. It gives me something to do besides just EQ2. I have the station access so I can play EQ1, EQ2, SWG, Matrix, and Vanguard for one monthly fee. I ditched all my other games that had monthly fees. I figured that I would just keep the station access since its the best value and money is pretty tight right now.
Today the expansion for Everquest 2 goes live. I can’t wait. I already know how great it is since I was in Beta testing. I can’t wait to make my Sarnak for real. I had made a Sarnak named Tarmeya for beta. I will probably use the same name again. I really had liked the way she turned out.
Its sort of sad though. Krystae is still in the hospital. So she isn’t home for the launch.
I just checked the website. They just announced that it will be an hour longer then they originally planned. I might as well go play something else in the mean time.
Many things can happen at midnight. Many things indeed. Boredom is usually the cause of many.
Last night, I was cruising around the internet looking for something interesting to do. I did not want to be bothered playing any of my MMOs that I subscribe to.
Finally, I found it. It is a little site called GoPets. It allows you to have different furry babies that you can take care of and watch grow. Its not like any of the other virtual pet games. This is quite different.
You still have to feed them and give them something to drink. However, have you ever seen a dog making apple juice before? I did last night. They can craft. There are many different things to craft.
You have to gain levels in order to be able to do certain things. Levels can be obtained through crafting, doing quests, playing games, etc. I played for quite some time last night. I am up to level 4. There are 30 levels at the moment.
There is a small program to download. You can visit other people’s land. You can own land yourself.
Right now I am reading an omnibus of short stories that were written in the 70s/80s.
If you are into off color humor and tons of puns, then this is definitely the book for you. It is hard to put down. The short stories were all originally written for magazines. There was a computer game that was made way back when (and yes I had played it before).
Speaking of computer games, I was asked the other day why I play some of the games I do and what my playing style was. Well, one of the reasons I play MMOs is because of the people you can meet and also the storylines. Yea I know that sounds corny, but I think of them as interactive books. I love to finish quests and see what’s next. My friend Krysta on the other hand is all about the gear and levelling. I could care less what gear I have on and I could care less about level. I just want to be able to continue with the story. I guess that is why games that require too much grinding in between quests bore me way too quickly.
Well, I finally got around to patching the EQ2 test server again. I haven’t been on it in ages. I think the last time I was on test was before EOF went live.
Anyway, there are a ton of new things that I am really excited about. All of you altoholics will be very happy. My friend Krystae is already salivating.
There is a new playable race coming out in the next live update. It is called the Arasai. I made one on test. This is essentially the evil fae. I put a pic up in my albums of the Arasai that I created.
Along with the new playable race is a new starting zone and new housing zone. The starter zone is Darklight Woods. It has connections to Commonlands, Nektulos Forest, and Neriak. Neriak has been revamped. On the way from Darklight Woods, you pass over a chasm, if you look down in the chasm, deep down, you will see Naggy. Apparently he is now someone’s pet. I am not sure if this is just on test or if this will be final when it goes live. I have a screen cap of him that I put in my albums section. You can barely see him since the chasm was really deep and foggy. I didn’t jump down in there since he is a level 100 epic. From what people were saying in OOC was that if you fell down in there, Naggy would bring you back up. I am not sure if I actually believe it and I really didn’t feel like finding out first hand.
I can’t believe after all that Krystae and I went through moving our toons from one house to another, they are now making things so much easier to move your toons. Basically you just go over to the house that you want and select the buy option. Your old place will be relinquished and all of the contents will be boxed into moving crates that appear in your new house for you to unpack.
Well, basically I just played games all weekend to hide from reality. Then again isn’t that what we all do anyway? Well, see you in Norrath!
One of my guildmembers in EQ2 was telling us about some cartoon that he had grown up watching in New Zealand. It was the most bizarre thing to the point that we thought he may have been making it up or something. There was just no way that there was a children’s story about trouser snakes and witches turning policemen into apple trees. Well guess what!! It is real!
You can actually read the entire story on this site here. I can’t belive that I actually read all the way through it. It is so bizarre. The pictures are equally bizarre. Wait till you see the pic of the dog playing the piano with his tail.
I just stumbled across a little game called OfficeDebo yesterday. It is a browser based game. You can do things like fish in the company water fountain, compete in chair races, attack other office workers, join a union and a ton of other crazy things. It is a really interesting way to waste some time. LOL
So I feel like crap again today. I can barely breath. Caroll was after me to get a chext x-ray the other day. I couldn’t be bothered. Now I wish I had. Oh well. Too late now. I stayed home yesterday and today. Hopefully, I will feel better by Monday.
Last night Zorah told us in guild chat that the new expansion is called Rise of Kunark. I did a little checking around. I found the same thing mentioned on Warcry. Anyway, after a quick search of the US Patent & Trademark website, I can say that yes, SOE has trademarked the name. They have not announced when the expansion will be yet though.
