Well, I finally got around to patching the EQ2 test server again. I haven’t been on it in ages. I think the last time I was on test was before EOF went live.
Anyway, there are a ton of new things that I am really excited about. All of you altoholics will be very happy. My friend Krystae is already salivating.
There is a new playable race coming out in the next live update. It is called the Arasai. I made one on test. This is essentially the evil fae. I put a pic up in my albums of the Arasai that I created.
Along with the new playable race is a new starting zone and new housing zone. The starter zone is Darklight Woods. It has connections to Commonlands, Nektulos Forest, and Neriak. Neriak has been revamped. On the way from Darklight Woods, you pass over a chasm, if you look down in the chasm, deep down, you will see Naggy. Apparently he is now someone’s pet. I am not sure if this is just on test or if this will be final when it goes live. I have a screen cap of him that I put in my albums section. You can barely see him since the chasm was really deep and foggy. I didn’t jump down in there since he is a level 100 epic. From what people were saying in OOC was that if you fell down in there, Naggy would bring you back up. I am not sure if I actually believe it and I really didn’t feel like finding out first hand.
I can’t believe after all that Krystae and I went through moving our toons from one house to another, they are now making things so much easier to move your toons. Basically you just go over to the house that you want and select the buy option. Your old place will be relinquished and all of the contents will be boxed into moving crates that appear in your new house for you to unpack.
Well, basically I just played games all weekend to hide from reality. Then again isn’t that what we all do anyway? Well, see you in Norrath!
One of my guildmembers in EQ2 was telling us about some cartoon that he had grown up watching in New Zealand. It was the most bizarre thing to the point that we thought he may have been making it up or something. There was just no way that there was a children’s story about trouser snakes and witches turning policemen into apple trees. Well guess what!! It is real!

So I feel like crap again today. I can barely breath. Caroll was after me to get a chext x-ray the other day. I couldn’t be bothered. Now I wish I had. Oh well. Too late now. I stayed home yesterday and today. Hopefully, I will feel better by Monday.
Last night Zorah told us in guild chat that the new expansion is called Rise of Kunark. I did a little checking around. I found the same thing mentioned on Warcry. Anyway, after a quick search of the US Patent & Trademark website, I can say that yes, SOE has trademarked the name. They have not announced when the expansion will be yet though.
I have become really bored with all the games that I have been playing. I really need something new!!
EQ2’s Erolisi Marr day is a total snooze fest this year. The quest was over in a few seconds. The heart grab thing they have going on in Antonica is totally retarded. I just can’t be bothered. I am bored with the quests. The guild I am in is really nice. I like the majority of the people in it. I am just really bored with the game. I know that I haven’t hit 70 yet, but I am only a few bubs from ding anyway. So its not like it is a major difference.
CoH/CoV is an ok game. They do have some interesting things in the game. I am just so sick of ninja invites. Geez!! Would it hurt them to at least see if I am looking for a group? The Pocket D valentine event is a repeat of last year. There are different rewards, but I am not really interested in getting costume pieces with hearts on them. Bleh!!
I have not been able to find anything going on in GW. That is a nice game to play when DSL is down since it doesn’t lag over dial up. However, I get bored with it way to easy.
I was even thinking about going back to DAoC, but I just don’t feel like it.
I did a little beta testing for 9Dragons. I hated that game. The graphics were too much like a cartoon. The quests were lame. The system to learn even the simplest skill was too cumbersome. Forget that one.
I had beta tested D&D online. It was ok. Not something that I would run to the store to buy. Guess that is why I didn’t! LOL
The only one that I still play on a regular basis is Kingdom of Loathing. However, it is a turned based game with limited amounts of turns per day. So you can only play it so much. I really love it though. It is totally off the wall!!
OK!! So where does that leave me? Grr!! I guess I will have to catch up with my reading until someone can give me some ideas!!
OMG! Last night was so fun! Krystae & I decided to single handedly do the Changing of the Guards. That was totally insane. We were the majority of the way up the tower when all hell broke loose. For some reason, it seems all the rest of the guards in the tower decided to come & join in the fun. So we were swarmed by them. It caused us to die really, really quickly. It was so much fun though. The only thing that I can think of is that maybe the pet I was using has an area of effect spell that aggroed everything in the tower. It was insane!! I loved every minute of it.
I haven’t started the Brell day quests yet. Krystae was saying that it was crazy. Some drunk was singing his own wacked out version of the milkshake song! I can’t wait until I see that!
I got my bed yesterday. I spent part of last night taking the old one apart. When I get home from work today I am going to put the new one together. This is going to be so great!! Well, off I go to work. At least it is overtime.
Well, Krys just got her new computer yesterday. She is still trying to get everything set back up on it & configured that way that she likes it. I just can’t wait until she can get back into EQ2. It sucks that SOE messed the game up so that no one with Win98 or WinME can log in. They keep saying that they are trying to fix it, but it has been a few weeks now. That is just insane.
I ordered my new cell phone. I should have it on Tuesday. I found out that it was cheaper for me to order over the internet then to go to the store. I wasn’t even charged shipping and handling. I am saving about $60. Plus there is a $20 rebate once I get the phone. So that is a HUGE savings.
The choice was for a new cell phone & get rid of the crap I have or an additional RAM chip for my puter. I decided that the cell phone was the more important of the two. I can’t wait.
Grr!! I have been having a lot of problems sleeping lately. I get really tired all of a sudden, sleep for about half an hour, then I am wide awake for a few hours. This is not good.
I can’t believe that Charmed is ending tonight!! That is so not good!! I have been watching that show since the day it started. It is a great show! There are very few TV shows that I will actually watch. That was one of them.
Well, I am going to try to get a little bit more sleep before I have to go grocery shopping.
This was a really productive weekend for me.
First off, I have been majorally cleaning out the stuff in my room. My sister BC hauled off tons of books that I wanted to get rid of. I am getting a new bed. So while I was cleaning to take the old one out, I decided to just give my entire room a major overhaul. The mattress is getting delivered today. Unfortunately, the bed is coming a little later.
Now, my main part of the weekend was spent playing EQ2. Krys & I had a lot of fun this weekend. Krys is my real life best friend for over 10 years. Well, we were running around in Maj’Dul, Sinking Sands, Pillars of Flame and the Shimmering Citadel. The guild we are in, Essayons, had a raid on Saturday. That was a lot of fun. We ended up raiding th DeathFist Citadel. It was great. With that raid, the guild members finished 15 heritage quests total in one shot.
Last night, Krys & I were going into Maj’Dul just as it was being taken over by the Orcs. OMG!! I had zoned in first & was running into the city. Krys was still zoning in when I start screaming into the zone for her to CoQ out as soon as she finishes zoning. It was totally insane. The orcs were slaughtering EVERYTHING around. Now that would be an awesome raid event, but the two of us wouldn’t be able to handle all that craziness.
On Tuesday night, Krys & I were working feverishly on getting a new guild site up and running. We just can’t stand the one that SOE provides for the guild. It is usually buggy.
We had some major difficulties. I ended up having to write something in the forums on ogaming to try to get it worked out. It is pretty much up now. We haven’t unveiled it to the guild yet. One of the guild leaders, Brazen, said that he liked it. I don’t think that Unbound has looked at it as of yet.

Afterwards, Krys & I logged into Feerrott to work on a few quests. Last night Unbound did the same. We managed to get Agony for him. We also grabbed one for Darkelfken.
I am so not in the mood to go into work this morning. This have been crazy there. Not bad, just things seem to be going out of whack. I will be glad when this week is over.
Last night I got tons accomplished in EQ2. It was a pretty decent patch yesterday. The new guild functions are up. Hopefully, this will help us to recruit new members.
Krystae and I spent most of our time in Sinking Sands again. When I first logged in though, I had to run through the 3 thieves in the court quests. I want to get more of the Peacock Club quests out of the way. I am also working on In the Name of Love for the Court of Truth. That is the court that Krys & I decided to get faction with. We are already ally. We aren’t at max yet though.
While out on Hullcrusher rock, the named (Mythwail Hullcrusher) spawned. So of course we had to kill her. Our motto is, if it is named, it must die (unless it is epic & we are alone!) Well, time to dive back into Norrath. I have a few quests I want to finish up before heading to work.
Well, its about time that I got my head back into being creative. I had stopped being creative for awhile now. I used to make sig tags & incredimail stats under the name Crystalline Spiritwalker. I used to also write poetry under that name as well. I just let it all fall the wayside.
Last night, I took out some of my old sig tags & created them into stickers for IMVU. I also tried my hand at the demo top. That was way too easy. I want to start working on some harder pieces. I guess I am starting to feel much better.
I have hypothyroidism & sometimes it gets so out of control that I can barely function. It gets hard to just get up in the morning. I finally found some doctors that are helping me out. They are slowly adjusting my medicine so I won’t have too much difficulty with it like I have in the past.
Now that my head seems to be clearing up, I am thinking more and wanting to get back to doing more things.
Previously, the only things I would do was to work and play Everquest 2. I still love the game, but I don’t want that to be my main focus.
Maybe I will dig up some of my old poetry to post. I would love to hear what others think about it.
