Rose, most unexpected
I got the surprise of my life yesterday. I was sitting at my desk registering patients when one of the techs came up to me and said that he had something for me in his car. I know he had mentioned the other day that since I had been helping him out, he wanted to do something nice for me before he left. So I figured that maybe he got me something.
Well, he ran out to his car and came back with three long stem red roses in a pretty vase. I was in shock. Then I looked at the card attached. They weren’t from him. They were from an ex-boyfriend of mine that I used to date back in 1993. My ex-boyfriend currently works with the tech at another site. Apparently he decided to buy me flowers for valentine’s day. However the tech was off the night before valentines day and couldn’t bring them to me.
So I sat in shock. I had been telling the tech to say hi for me and things like that, but never had I imagined I would receive those roses.
The only reason we had broke up was because I was moving out of the area. When I moved back, I had so much going on that I never bothered to check back to see if he wanted to hook back up or not. We just didn’t feel that a long distance relationship would work. We remained friends, but we had lost contact with each other.
I don’t know what to think. I did give the tech my new number to give to my ex. Who knows what will happen.
