The suspense

Last night, we discussed in our kinship in LOTRO about getting a kinship house.  We finally agreed.  I am not sure which housing section the kinship house is going to be in though.  I was too tired to hang around.  The two that were going to get it had to log out and would be back on later.

I was hoping to log in this morning to see where, but the game is down until noon for server maintenance.  This completely sucks.  That means I have to wait until around 9pm tonight to see where its going to be.

I know that Chary and I were talking about how the Falathlorn kinship houses are gorgeous.  The whole area is really pretty.

Falathlorn Kinship House

The housing area in Thorin’s Hall is pretty ugly.  But that is just my opinion.  I am not into the whole industrial look to the place.  It seems like you  are living in a mine shaft or something.  It just seems dirty.  Bleh!

Thorin’s Hall Kinship House

The ones in the shire are cute.  I guess I am pretty partial to the shire since that is where my house is.  However, I like the fact that we get a call to Kinship House which gives me an extra port somewhere.  I live in the deluxe house at 6 Chalk Street in the Haremead Neighborhood.

The Bree houses are pretty boring in my opinion.  Most of my kinship lives there though.  They sort of resemble Tudor style homes in real life.  I guess that is why I like the Shire and Falathlorn the best.  They aren’t something you would see in a normal residential area.

I know that both Chary and I really liked the Falathlorn Kinship house.  I am not sure if that is the one that we will be ending up with though.

Well, the clock is ticking away the hours until I get to find out.  This is exciting.  We will get the fun of decorating it.  I know that there are a ton of things that Krysta has placed in my house vault that I don’t need for my own home.  Maybe we can use some of that.

Well, I want to read a little before heading off to work.  I am almost done with all the books in that Stephanie Bond series.  Yes, I read them out of order, but they are still great.  In fact, they are too good!  I have barely sleeping at night because I can’t put the books down.  I will be laying in bed reading and the next thing I realize is that its 3 am and I desperately need to get some sleep.

frustration

Well, I had seen things on the web about a cute little MMO named Wizard 101.  Well, this months issue of Beckett Massive Online Gamer had a code for a free in-game item.  I decided to give it a shot.

So I started the download this morning.  It had finished by the time I was ready to leave for work.

I get home from work and start up the game.  I figured that what I had downloaded and installed this morning was the patcher.  So there was probably more to download.  Much to my surprise, I logged in, created a character and went through the tutorial.  Well, much to my dismay, after the tutorial it started downloading more.  I figured that it couldn’t be too much more since I really didn’t think they would put a huge download with the game open.  Well, I was wrong!  So I have been sitting here for over 2 hours with in-game, while it patches the files.  At least if you are just running a patcher for a game, you can do a ton of stuff on the computer.  Whereas, if you are in-game you are very limited because of the amount of RAM most games take up.

I am not sure how happy I am about this.  Hopefully it will finish sometime soon.  But then again, that is what I have been thinking for the past 2 hours.

Is it really Monday?

I really didn’t feel like crawling out of bed this morning.  My body is achy.

I was really bad this weekend.  I didn’t follow my doctors’ advice.  I was told not to exercise, but I can’t handle this constant weight gain.  I have to get moving.  So I started using the Jillian Michael’s Wii game.  My sister had bought it last Monday on our shopping trip.  I was looking through it and it seemed pretty good.  One thing that I liked was that you could set it for light exercise with only 5 minutes training.  I figured I would start up at 5 minutes since they haven’t let me do any type of exercise since last August.  The exercise was actually pretty fun.  I liked that she shouted words of encouragement as you went along.  I really liked her on The Biggest Loser.  I haven’t watched it in ages (since they got rid of her and brought on that other woman).  I heard they brought her back, but just haven’t watched it.

Unfortunately, Steve was watching TV when I got up this morning.  So I didn’t get to do any exercise.  I will see if I can do some tonight.  I doubt it though.  Steve and Deb had their bedroom painted last week.  The person who painted it didn’t put the TV back in place.  And Steve HAS to watch TV in order to sleep.  So he will probably sleep on the couch again.  That TV is huge too.  He needs to see if he can grab one of the guys from the neighborhood to help him move it back.

Ohh!  I finished the three books in the story arc by Stephanie Bond as well!  Let me tell you, I could barely put them down.   In fact, I stayed up until 3:30 am finishing off the last one in the arc.  I just couldn’t put it down.  I kept saying to myself that I would just finish the chapter and go to bed.  I just couldn’t stop though.  It was that good.

Now I am going back and starting from the beginning since I picked up the series in the middle.  I just started The first book, Body Movers, last night and I am already half way through it.

My sister had ordered more in the series from Books-A-Million.  I can’t wait until we get them in.  Hopefully, they will be here soon.

Well, I really need to finish getting ready for work.  At least I have some uniforms that actually fit me.   I had gotten way too fat for the other uniforms that I was wearing.  Hopefully, I will start to lose some weight soon.  This is getting way out of control.fingerscrossed

Busy, busy, busy

Well, things have been pretty busy around here the last few weeks.  Last Wednesday, I had a few doctor appointments.  Unfortunately, I sat in the neurologist’s office for over an hour without being seen.  She was stuck with a patient at the hospital.

After the doctor’s visits, we headed over to the Museum of Discovery and Science to meet up with my friend Krysta.  Unfortunately, we didn’t have much time to play in the museum before the movie started.  We got to watch Star Trek in IMAX!!  That was great.  Even if you have never seen any of the Star Trek TV shows or any of the movies, I highly suggest watching this one.

This past weekend, I hit 40 in LOTRO.  I had started playing that game when it first came out.  However, I was so hard core into EQ2 that I barely advanced any of my characters.  Since I became severely bored with EQ2, I have been playing LOTRO quite a bit.  Its weird though.  I normally play caster type characters.  My main in there is a hunter.  I actually like that character the most.  I have a ton of alts, including some of the new classes that came out with Mines of Moria.

Monday was the day that my legs fell off (or at least felt like it!).  My sister, Debbie, and I went to Sawgrass Mills Mall.  We did sit down quite a bit though since I am not used to walking much anymore.  I found a cute outfit to go to the dance recital next month.  I also got 2 pairs of crocs.  But the best was the books.  We spent over $200 at Books-A-Million.  I love books.  I have already finished one of the books and started on another.

Speaking of books, here is my latest suggestion.  If you like mysteries or even romances, then head straight to your bookstore and pick up Stephanie Bond.  We had bought one of her books on a lark because I was going to the hospital and needed a few things from Walmart.  We found her book 4 Bodies and A Funeral there.

Amazon.com: 4 Bodies and a Funeral (Body Movers, Book 4)

ISBN: 0778326683
ISBN-13: 9780778326687

When I first got the book, I didn’t know that it was part of a series.  Even though I hadn’t read the first 4 books in the series, it didn’t matter.  I quickly got caught up in the story.  I wasn’t able to put it down.  Not only is this the 4th book in the series, but it is the 1st book in a 3 book story arc.  They are on the hunt for a serial killer that is targeting women in Georgia.   I just finished the 2nd book in the arc and I still have no clue who did it.  I just started the 3rd book.  I want to finish this arc before going back and reading the first book in the series.

I have also been hard at work on the family tree.  I have gotten quite a bit done on it.  It is a lot of work, but tons of fun.  I really enjoy being able to track down relatives.  It is a little more difficult on my family since we don’t have much information to start with.  Steve’s family has been really easy.  His great aunt had already started back in the 1940s.  She had a notebook where she wrote down all the information.  Steve lent me this to start off his search.  It is amazing how far back I was able to trace for him.

Oh, Steve and Deb just got me a new cell phone.  Its great that I don’t have to worry about paying a cell phone bill anymore.  Apparently, it only costs them a few dollars a month to add me to their plan.  Its only a cheap phone, but at least its better then nothing.

Well, I am off to read more in the 6th book in the series (3rd book in the story arc).  I have to get my fix in before work…  LOL!
